Vogue Italy January 2020

Such a fascinating approach - Italian Vogue decided that their January Issue was to be completely without photography. A Cover shoot and a photo series requires immense resources and this was a comment on this and a way of making a more sustainable issue and a brave and interesting approach by Emanuele Farneti, the Editor in Chief.

It´s no secret that the fashion industry is one of the worlds worst climate sinners. It is a complex matter how they deal with becoming more sustainable in every aspect.

But hey this was a fun and daring approach from the magazine world - a world that for sure need to be more inclusive and versatile and innovative in order to stay relevant in times of internet and digitalization.

I especially love the keynote: “No photo shoot production was required in the making of this issue.”

Read more about it here. Laird Borrelli Persson wrote a great article on the subject at Vogue online.

I have decided to post a thing or two here on the blog, every once in a while. It makes no sense because the lack of time for other things than staying alive is a fact after our duo became a trio.
But hey it might be a post a year or so.
