My friend Uli just spent a semester here in Copenhagen at the Danish Designschool - as an exchange student.
One of the projects she did was a sustainable shoe project - and she just won an award- iF concept award 2011
Project description by Uli: Our life is shaped by movement. Presented here is an approach that deals with the combination of aesthetic, social and physical characteristics.A shoe that could be manufactured anywhere. The concept allows the product to vary, according to culture and also in material and color. Connecting Steps is a modern combination of various disciplines and the versatility makes it more than a shoe. The movement is a proposition to make a difference and change something.
